Abstract

Need for connecting small towns with metropoles provides great opportunity for development, regional railway passenger transport, with comfort, and it’s also known as one of the safest ways of transporting. The railway has a large transport capacity, which is desirable especially during peak hours. If we want to railways to parry with road transporting on intercity or regional level, its necessary to increase frequency of departures on certain lines, and that request a bigger throughput, which is provided with construction of two-track railroad. In this document, a simulation of the movement of trains on reconstructed line Resnik – Valjevo will be performed. The goal is to calculate trains time on this destination after the reconstruction of route, with the aforementioned simulation. When we create model, we will use detailed data of infrastructure elements and EMU which travels on this route, in order to get credible information, close to real one.
