SAFETY AND HEALTH AT WORK IN THE CONSTRUCTION INDUSTRY – ASPECT OF CONSTRUCTION WORKS ON RAILWAY

Abstract

Safety and health at work are an important segment of human resources management, as well as other academic discipline. The legislator prescribed various acts regulating this area, and the right to safety and health at work is part of the constitution of our country and the subject of numerous standards and international conventions. What risks exist at work depends primarily on the activity of the company or the industry in which the company is located, and the approach to organizing the conditions for safe work and employee protection depends on the size of the company, or the way of organization, which is a wider subject of research. In the secondary research, through the interview and the observation, the organization of work for the protection of health and safety of employees within the construction industry will be examined, which is also the subject of research of the work. Special attention is paid to construction works in Railway. The aim of the research work is to point out the specificities of managing the area of safety and health at work through presenting conclusions about the same, which occurred through primary and secondary research.
