Abstract

It is well known that the conditions of modern business impose the development and implementation of modern information systems for process control in complex railway systems and subsystems. It should be noted that the application of information systems on the railway has a long tradition. Railway companies use information systems and specialized software for various purposes, either commercially available on the market or as their own developed applications. “Effect“ application is developed to determine the parameters and performance indicators that can be used for various business analyzes, and in particular to determine the effectiveness and efficiency of the operations of the railway operator for the transport of goods “Serbia Cargo”. The Network Statement defines the services payable by the operator to Serbian Railway Infrastructure. The charging principles are based on indicators obtained from “Effect“. The application was made on the basis of professional literature related to the “Effect of Labor” in railway traffic.
