Abstract

The equipment of the railway line with technical systems for traffic protection and management usually depends on the importance of the railway line, so there are usually large differences in the equipment of the main and secondary lines. This technical gap on the railway lines threatens to deepen, because the current modernization of the railway is carried out exclusively on the main routes. Due to "insufficient equipment", the secondary routes were left out of the Unified Dispatch Center JDC, and the obligatory two-seat towing vehicle is only partially implemented. The paper proposes a method for overcoming this situation by using a unique system for train control, using which the secondary tracks would be brought to the level of the main ones in the simplest, fastest and cheapest way, so to speak "overnight". The secret is that the device is installed exclusively on the vehicle (there is no rail part) while performing all known control and protection functions and enables traffic monitoring from the center. When installing and maintaining the device, there is no work on the railway line and there is no traffic obstruction.
