Abstract

Recruitment and selection are extremely important in the business of modern organizations. Human resources, which companies obtain through the process of recruitment and selection, represent one of the most significant sources of competitive advantage in modern business conditions. Adequately conducted recruitment and selection are basic prerequisites that companies must meet if they want their employees to become sources of competitive advantage in their business.

The aim of the paper "Recruitment and selection of candidates, analysis of practices of Serbian companies and experiences of candidates" is reflected in pointing out the most important elements that affect the successful selection and recruitment of candidates and pointing out the practice applied in this field in Serbian companies. The paper also conducted two surveys, the aim of which is to present the experiences of candidates during the recruitment and selection process and the attitudes that employers have towards these segments of human resource management.
